Eupalitin

A methylated flavonol (also called betuletol) whose galactoside is a major constituent of Boerhavia diffusa; studied for hepatoprotective and immunomodulatory activity.

Classification

Eupalitin is one of the flavonoids, part of the phenolics class. Antioxidant compounds built around one or more phenol rings — the flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, coumarins, and pigments behind much of a plant's protective chemistry.
