Lepidiline

An imidazole alkaloid (1,3-dibenzylimidazolium type) from maca (Lepidium meyenii) root; lepidilines A–G have been studied in vitro for cytotoxic activity against cancer cell lines.

Classification

Lepidiline is one of the other alkaloids, part of the alkaloids class. Nitrogen-containing, often bitter and physiologically potent compounds — the group behind many of the strongest plant medicines and poisons.
