Liriodendrin
A lignan glycoside (the bis-glucoside of syringaresinol) found in erva tostao (Boerhavia diffusa) and many other plants, studied for calcium-channel-blocking and anti-inflammatory activity.
Classification
Liriodendrin is one of the lignans, part of the phenolics class. Antioxidant compounds built around one or more phenol rings — the flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, coumarins, and pigments behind much of a plant's protective chemistry.
