Research & Evidence
Mandragorine is a name given to an alkaloid, or alkaloid mixture, historically reported from the root of mandrake (Mandragora officinarum). The plant is dominated chemically by tropane alkaloids such as hyoscyamine and scopolamine, and little is reliably established about mandragorine as a defined single compound beyond these early descriptions.
