Myristamide (N-Myristoyl Amide)

Myristamide is the simple amide of myristic acid, a saturated fatty acid amide.

Where Does It Come From?

Myristamide (N-Myristoyl Amide) is a naturally occurring fatty acid amide. It is well tolerated orally (low toxicity).

Research & Evidence

Myristamide is the primary amide of myristic acid (tetradecanamide), a 14-carbon saturated fatty acid derivative. It is a simple fatty acid amide with little established biological activity of its own; such compounds are mainly encountered as minor lipid constituents and as industrial slip and anti-block additives. Little specific pharmacological or therapeutic information about it is established.
