What Is N-Acetyl Semax Amidate?

N-Acetyl Semax Amidate (NASA) is a chemically modified analog of the Russian nootropic peptide Semax, engineered with an N-terminal acetyl group and a C-terminal amide to resist enzymatic breakdown. These end-cap modifications are a standard way to slow peptide degradation, and vendors market the result as a longer-lasting, “more potent” version of Semax. It is sold as a research chemical, not as an approved drug or dietary supplement anywhere.

Evidence

There is essentially no independent, peer-reviewed clinical or animal literature on N-Acetyl Semax Amidate specifically. Almost all information about it comes from peptide vendors and nootropic communities, not from verifiable trials — I did not find a citable PubMed study on this exact compound in this pass. The general chemistry claim (that N-acetylation and C-terminal amidation increase resistance to peptidases and can extend a peptide’s half-life) is a well-established structure–activity principle, but that is a broad framing point, not evidence that this analog is safe or more effective than Semax in humans.
