Echinacea

Research & Evidence

This is a monounsaturated N-isobutyl amide of decenoic acid, one of the alkylamides characteristic of Echinacea. As with the other members of this family it is a lipophilic constituent thought to contribute to the herb’s sensory and proposed immune-modulating effects. Little specific information is established about this individual compound.
