A triene Echinacea-type alkylamide.

Where Does It Come From? (1)

N-Isobutylamide of 2E,4E,8Z-decatrienoic Acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid amide (n-alkylamide), found in Echinacea. It is well tolerated orally (low toxicity).

Echinacea

Research & Evidence

This is an N-isobutyl alkylamide of a decatrienoic acid, a member of the alkylamide family characteristic of Echinacea. These constituents are studied as a group for their tingling sensory effect and proposed immune-modulating activity. Little is established about this particular isomer beyond its occurrence in the plant.
