A polyunsaturated Echinacea-type alkylamide.

Where Does It Come From? (1)

N-Isobutylamide of 2E,4Z,7Z,10Z-decatrienoic Acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid amide (n-alkylamide), found in Echinacea. It is well tolerated orally (low toxicity).

Echinacea

Research & Evidence

This is a polyunsaturated N-isobutyl alkylamide of a decatrienoic acid, one of the alkylamides characteristic of Echinacea. These constituents are studied as a group for their tingling mouthfeel and proposed immune-modulating activity; this particular isomer has not been individually characterised in any detail.
