This is an N-isobutyl alkylamide of a decatrienoic acid, a member of the alkylamide family characteristic of Echinacea. Echinacea alkylamides are studied collectively for their tingling sensory effect and proposed immune-modulating activity. Little is established about this particular isomer individually.
