An eleven-carbon Echinacea-type alkylamide.

Where Does It Come From? (1)

N-Isobutylamide of 2E,4Z-undecadienoic Acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid amide (n-alkylamide), found in Echinacea. It is well tolerated orally (low toxicity).

Echinacea

Research & Evidence

This is an N-isobutyl alkylamide of an eleven-carbon undecadienoic acid, belonging to the alkylamide family characteristic of Echinacea. These pungent, lipophilic constituents are studied as a group for sensory and proposed immune-modulating effects; little is established about this particular homologue on its own.
