Phosphoramidon
Phosphoramidon is a naturally derived peptide used in research as a metalloprotease and neprilysin inhibitor.
Where Does It Come From?
Phosphoramidon is a naturally occurring (and made in the body) phosphoramide-linked peptide. It is well tolerated orally (low toxicity).
Phosphoramidon is a naturally occurring compound originally isolated from a Streptomyces culture and used as a biochemical research tool. It inhibits several zinc metalloproteases, including neprilysin and endothelin-converting enzyme, and is employed in the laboratory to study these enzymes. Despite being grouped here under tryptamine on account of its tryptophan residue, it is not psychoactive.
