Urechistachykinin II
Urechistachykinin II is a tachykinin-family peptide, one of the bioactive peptides associated with the kambo secretion.
Where Does It Come From? (1)
Urechistachykinin II is a naturally occurring tachykinin peptide, found in Giant monkey frog / kambo.
Research & Evidence
Urechistachykinin II is a short peptide belonging to the tachykinin family, a group of signalling peptides that act on neurokinin receptors and were originally described from the gut of a marine worm. Peptides of this family appear among the many bioactive components grouped under “kambo peptides,” the secretion of the giant monkey frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor) used in traditional Amazonian practices. As a single peptide its individual pharmacology is not well characterised, and very little is established about it beyond its peptide class.
