Calamusin
Calamusin (acoramone) is a phenylpropanoid ketone identified in calamus rhizome.
Classification
Calamusin is a phenylpropanoid, part of the terpenoids class. The largest class of plant compounds, built from five-carbon isoprene units — the essential-oil aromatics, resins, bitter principles, saponins, and plant sterols.
Where Does It Come From? (2)
Calamusin is a naturally occurring phenylpropanoid, found in Calamus / sweet flag and 1 other source. It is well tolerated orally (low toxicity).

Research & Evidence
Calamusin, also recorded as acoramone, is a phenylpropanoid ketone identified in the rhizome of calamus (Acorus calamus). It is one of the minor aromatic constituents of the plant, and little is firmly established about its pharmacology beyond its occurrence there.
