Delta 10 THC

Delta-10-THC is a minor tetrahydrocannabinol isomer, usually produced from hemp-derived CBD and only a trace natural constituent.

Where Does It Come From? (1)

Delta 10 THC is a naturally occurring phytocannabinoid (thc isomer), found in Cannabis. It is flagged as moderately toxic.

Research & Evidence

Delta-10-THC is an isomer of tetrahydrocannabinol that differs from the familiar delta-9-THC in the position of a double bond. It occurs in cannabis only in trace amounts, so products sold as delta-10 are typically made by chemically converting hemp-derived CBD. It is reported to be intoxicating but generally milder and more “energising” than delta-9-THC, according to user accounts. Rigorous human research on this specific isomer is very limited.

Toxicity & Safety

Because commercial delta-10-THC is usually a semi-synthetic product made from CBD, a key concern is the purity of the finished material and possible residual reagents or by-products from its manufacture. It shares the general intoxicating cannabinoid profile and may impair coordination and judgement. Its legal status is contested and it is treated as a controlled substance in some interpretations. Long-term safety data are lacking.
