Eleutheroside E
A furofuran lignan glycoside (syringaresinol di-O-glucoside) used alongside eleutheroside B to standardise eleuthero; one of the constituents associated with its adaptogenic and anti-fatigue activity.
Classification
Eleutheroside E is one of the lignans, part of the phenolics class. Antioxidant compounds built around one or more phenol rings — the flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, coumarins, and pigments behind much of a plant's protective chemistry.
