Leonotin

A labdane diterpenoid from Leonotis (wild dagga and relatives), reported to show cytotoxic activity against leukaemic cell lines. Otherwise little characterised.

Leonotin is one of the diterpenes, part of the terpenoids class. The largest class of plant compounds, built from five-carbon isoprene units — the essential-oil aromatics, resins, bitter principles, saponins, and plant sterols.
