Oxypeucedanin
A linear furanocoumarin most abundant in angelica roots, studied for anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity; furanocoumarins as a class can cause photosensitisation.
Classification
Oxypeucedanin is one of the coumarins, part of the phenolics class. Antioxidant compounds built around one or more phenol rings — the flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, coumarins, and pigments behind much of a plant's protective chemistry.
