Penduletin
A methylated flavonol (flavone) found in the fruit of chaste tree and various other plants. Reported to have estrogen-receptor and anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory studies.
Classification
Penduletin is one of the flavonoids, part of the phenolics class. Antioxidant compounds built around one or more phenol rings — the flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, coumarins, and pigments behind much of a plant's protective chemistry.
