Polystachoside

A flavonol glycoside (quercetin 3-O-arabinoside) reported in stevia; despite co-occurring with the sweet steviol glycosides it is a flavonoid, not a diterpene glycoside.

Classification

Polystachoside is one of the diterpenes, part of the terpenoids class. The largest class of plant compounds, built from five-carbon isoprene units — the essential-oil aromatics, resins, bitter principles, saponins, and plant sterols.

Where Does It Come From? (1)

Polystachoside is one of the diterpenes, found in Stevia.
