Acacetin

A methoxylated flavone, the 4′-O-methyl ether of apigenin, found in damiana, chrysanthemum and black locust; studied for anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and vasorelaxant effects.

Classification

Acacetin is one of the flavonoids, part of the phenolics class. Antioxidant compounds built around one or more phenol rings — the flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, coumarins, and pigments behind much of a plant's protective chemistry.
