Lactones
A broad chemical class of cyclic esters formed when an acid and an alcohol group within a molecule join into a ring. Many plant constituents are lactones — sesquiterpene lactones, coumarins, and kavalactones among them — so activity depends entirely on the specific compound.
Classification
Lactones are other constituents. Compounds outside the major chemical classes — nucleosides, simple amines, mixed volatile oils, and as-yet uncategorised constituents.
Where Does It Come From? (4)
Lactones are other constituents, found in Graviola, Lion's Mane, Reishi and 1 other source.
