Overview
The Project
The Sunlight Experiment publishes evidence-based research on herbal medicine and nutrition. Our database contains hundreds of medicinal herb species with current research and practical information on how each plant can be used to support health.
The project began as a personal study log and has grown into a reference library of herbal monographs, each covering a plant’s traditional use, botany, pharmacology, active constituents, dosage, and safety — with the research cited throughout.
The Author
Justin Cooke
The library is compiled and edited by Justin Cooke, BHSc — a herbalist with a background in health science, by way of emergency medicine and, later, an ayahuasca retreat centre in the Peruvian Amazon. AI does the heavy assembly and drafting; I set the structure and the sources, and every claim ties back to the primary literature rather than folklore or marketing copy.
