Research & Evidence
DMC-2 (2’,4’-dihydroxy-4-methoxydihydrochalcone) is a dihydrochalcone of Artemisia dracunculus and one of the compounds credited with the metabolic activity of the standardised extract PMI-5011 (PMIDs 17848630, 31815461, 34563947). It is studied for enhancement of insulin signalling in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue. The work is preclinical and mostly at extract rather than isolate level.
Toxicity & Safety
No isolated-compound toxicity dataset was located. Exposure is via a standardised research extract rather than culinary tarragon, so the dietary-safety record of the herb does not transfer to the isolate.
